Michael Siegenthaler is currently employed as labor market specialist at KOF Swiss Economic Institute at ETH Zurich. He also works as lecturer at ETH Zurich and the Department of Economics of the University of Bern. He received his PhD from ETH Zurich. His research interests are labor economics, migration, and empirical macroeconomics. A recurrent topic is the factors and policies that shape firms' demand for workers. His research has a strong practical focus, and entails policy advising, forecasting, and media work.
