Michèle Belot is Professor of Economics at Cornell University, the European University Institute and the University of Edinburgh. She received her PhD in Economics from Tilburg University and has held previous academic positions at the University of Essex and at the University of Oxford. Her research interests are at the crossroad between labour economics, health economics and behavioural economics. Her recent work consists mainly of designing and testing interventions using randomized controlled trials, in the domains of health and job search. She was the President of the European Association of Labour Economists between June 2020 and September 2023.
