Oliver Dieckmann

Economic analyst at European Commission

Since 2014, Oliver is senior expert in the European Commission's Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs (DG ECFIN). He is lead author of the Commission’s European Economic Forecasts. Before joining the forecast team he held various positions in DG ECFIN (and formerly DG II). His responsibilities included monetary and exchange-rate analysis, and work on EMU-related issues. He was acting editor of the European Economy Research Letterand organised DG ECFIN’s Annual Research Conferences. Oliver holds a doctorate degree in economics from the University of Hamburg.
