Panayiotis C. Andreou serves as an Associate Professor of Finance within the Department of Finance, Accounting, and Management Science at the School of Management and Economics, Cyprus University of Technology. His current research focuses on topics related to corporate finance, climate and sustainable finance, asset pricing, household finance, and financial literacy. He has published over 30 studies in prestigious scientific journals and contributed to academic books. He is a co-founder and the leading chair of the Financial Management and Accounting Research Conference (FMARC) and a co-founder and organizing committee member of the Endless Summer Conference on Financial Intermediation and Corporate Finance (CEPR conference). Additionally, he is a founding member and President of the Financial Wellbeing Institute (FWI) and an academic associate at the Center for Economic Research at the University of Cyprus. Since 2016, he has conducted a series of scientific studies to document digital financial illiteracy and its consequences in Cyprus. From 2017, he has been collaborating with the Central Bank of Cyprus on policy issues related to financial literacy. In December 2020, he was appointed to the Ad Hoc Committee charged with developing the National Strategy for the Promotion of Financial Literacy and Financial Education in Cyprus.
