Stephan Fahr

Stephan Fahr is Team Lead in the Systemic Risk and Financial Institutions Divisions at the European Central Bank. He has been working on the design and implementation of macroprudential policy, developing concepts of stance and the interaction of macroprudential instruments with monetary policy. His latest work and research interest revolves around systemic risk and contagion, include from climate-related risks. Previous to his work on financial stability topics, and in the aftermath of the global financial crisis, he worked in the monetary policy strategy division of the ECB. Stephan holds a PhD from the European University Institute in Florence.
