Steven Vanhaverbeke

Steven Vanhaverbeke works at Erasmus University – Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) as an Assistant Professor in the department of Accounting & Control. His research interests are in the area of financial disclosure and reporting regulation. He obtained a PhD in Business Economics from KU Leuven (Belgium) in 2017. At KU Leuven, he was affiliated with the department of Managerial Economics, Strategy and Innovation, and with the Expertise Centre of R&D Monitoring (ECOOM). He was awarded with a four-year PhD scholarship and a three-year Post-Doctoral scholarship from the Flemish Science foundation (FWO) to conduct his research on the economic consequences of financial reporting regulation. While being a post-doctoral researcher at KU Leuven, he visited the University of Chicago – Booth School of Business. He joined RSM in 2019.
