Tidiane Kinda

Senior Economist at International Monetary Fund

Tidiane Kinda is Senior Economist in the IMF’s Asia and Pacific Department, working on Indonesia. He was previously Special Assistant to the Director and Economist in the Regional Studies Division in the same department. Since joining the Fund in 2009, he also worked in the African Department and the Fiscal Affairs Department, including as Fiscal Economist for the Euro Area, Canada, Croatia, Moldova and Desk Economist for Chad. Mr. Kinda's work experience prior to the IMF includes the World Bank's Research Department. He has published widely on various topics, including fiscal policy, fiscal rules, inequality, capital flows, and firm-level productivity. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from CERDI-University of Auvergne in France, where he taught macroeconomics and applied econometrics.
