Yasuyuki Todo

Professor in the Faculty of Political Science and Economics at Waseda University

Yasuyuki Todo is a Professor in the Faculty of Political Science and Economics, Waseda University since 2014. He is also a Faculty Fellow at Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry. Dr. Yasuyuki Todo received a Ph.D. in economics from Stanford University in 2000.His research fields are international economics, development economics, and applied microeconometrics, focusing on the role of social and economic network in economic growth and resilience. Recently, he examines the effect of global supply chains on propagation of economic shocks due to natural disasters and the effect of international research collaboration among firms on innovation. He also conducts research in developing countries such as Indonesia, Vietnam, and Ethiopia, and analyzes the role of information-sharing networks of small and medium enterprises and rural households on diffusion of knowledge and behaviors.
