Yue Li is an Economist in the Office of the Chief Economist Office, South Asia Region. She joined the World Bank as a Young Professional in 2010. Yue has recently co-authored the 2013 World Development Report on Jobs, as the focal person on productivity issues. She also worked on the country teams of Tanzania and Ethiopia, taking the lead on studies examining services sector development. Prior to joining the World Bank as a Young Professional, Yue worked as a Consultant in the East Asia and Pacific Region of the World Bank and as an Intern in the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.Her research interests and publications focus on foreign direct investment, trade, and investment climate analyses to pinpoint constraints for firm growth and job creation. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Rutgers University, a Master s degrees in Economics and Political Science from Syracuse University, and a Bachelor s degree from Peking University, China.
