Alexandre Chailloux

Senior Economist in the European Department at International Monetary Fund

Alexandre Chailloux is currently Senior Economist in the European Department of the International Monetary Fund. He is currently Senior Desk on the Ireland country team. He was educated at the Université Paris La Sorbonne (France), at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (France) and the Johns Hopkins University AAP (Washington DC, USA). He worked at the Banque de France before moving to the European Monetary Institute and subsequently the ECB in 1998. He joined the Monetary and Capital Market Department of the International Monetary Fund in 2005. He has published various articles on monetary and financial economics, with a focus on monetary policy implementation issues, money market microstructure.
