André Meier is an Economist in the European Department of the International Monetary Fund. His research is focused on macroeconomics, with previous publications on private consumption behavior, the transmission of fiscal and monetary policy, and the role of financial market imperfections. André joined the IMF in 2005 and has worked on country teams covering Mauritania, Cyprus, Turkey, Norway, and the United Kingdom. He holds a Ph.D. from the European University Institute.
