Andrew MacKinley

Andrew MacKinlay is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Southern Methodist University, Edwin L. Cox School of Business. He earned an M.A. and Ph.D. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2012, and a B.A. in liberal arts from St. John’s College, Annapolis, Maryland, in 2006. His research focuses on topics within empirical corporate finance, including corporate capital structure decisions and the effects of financial intermediation on corporate investment. He joined the faculty at SMU in 2012, where he teaches in the MBA, Professional MBA, and Master of Science in Finance programs.
