Christy Ann Petit

Christy Ann Petit is Assistant Professor at the School of Law and Government of Dublin City University (DCU) and Deputy Director of the DCU Brexit Institute. Her research interests cover EU Law, financial supervision and regulation, the law of the Banking Union, the Economic and Monetary Union, and central banking. Christy's most recent works investigated the legal framework of the Digital euro, Anti-Money Laundering enforcement and Banking Union cooperation in the context of Failing or Likely to Fail. She has conducted academic and policy research in other areas, including with a multidisciplinary approach, such as: divergence and cooperation in financial services after Brexit, and, the law and economic governance of Next Generation EU. Christy holds a PhD from the European University Institute in Law, passed the agrégation in Economics & Management in France as part of her studies at the Ecole normale supérieure in Economics, Law, and Management, and holds an LLM from the College of Europe.
