Daniel Gerszon Mahler

Senior Economist at The World Bank

Daniel Gerszon Mahler is a Senior Economist in the Development Data Group of the World Bank, where he is part of the Sustainable Development Statistics team and the Global Poverty and Inequality Data team. His areas of expertise concern the measurement of poverty, inequality, well-being, and justice. Daniel was a core team member of the 2021 World Development Report: Data for Better Lives. Prior to joining the World Bank, he was a visiting fellow at Harvard University’s Department of Government and worked for the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Daniel holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Copenhagen.
