Debarshi Nandy

Associate Professor of Finance in the International Business School at Brandeis University

Dr. Nandy is an Associate Professor of Finance in the International Business School at Brandeis Universiy. His research interests are in entrepreneurial finance, corporate finance, and financial intermediation, with a specific focus on financing for businesses and their productivity. Many of his research projects utilize establishment level business micro-data of the U.S. Census Bureau in analysing issues that relate to value creation in firms and on the growth of entrepreneurship, innovation, and new business creation. In addition, his interests include issues related to financial intermediation, such as loan syndication and contracting and agency problems in syndicated loan markets. He holds a MS in Economics from the University of Calcutta and a Ph.D. in Finance from Boston College.
