Elena Claire Ricci is a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Department of Economics, Management and Quantitative Methods (DEMM) of the University of Milan. Her main research interests are in environmental and food economics and her research focuses on climate change modelling and policies, energy economics, green taxation, sustainability and labelling.
Elena graduated in Environmental Sciences at the University of Milan – Bicocca in 2006 with a dissertation on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), has completed a M.Sc. in Environmental and Resource Economics at University College London (UCL) in 2007 with a dissertation on green taxes and holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Milan with a thesis on the climate change mitigation potential of Super-Grids and Smart-Grids.
In 2006-2013 she was a Researcher at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) and Research Affiliate of the Euro-Mediterranean Center for Climate Change (CMCC). Current research focuses on the mitigation potential of consumer engagement in the power sector, demand response, consumer interest in health and environmental food labelling and sustainability.
