Johannes Van Biesebroeck

Jo Van Biesebroeck is Professor of Economics at KU Leuven (Belgium) and a research affiliate at the CEPR. He teaches classes on Global Value Chains and The Development of the Chinese Economy and conducts research in the areas of industrial organization, international trade and development economics. His research focuses on firm dynamics, productivity, and the organization of global value chains, with applications to the automotive industry and the development of the Chinese and African economies. Currently he is co-editor of the Journal of Development Economics and Department Chair.
