Mark De Broeck

Deputy Division Chief, Fiscal Affairs Department at International Monetary Fund

Mark De Broeck is a Deputy Division Chief in the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Department, where he contributes to policy-oriented research on fiscal issues and helps support the IMF’s operational fiscal policy work in selected African, Asian and European member countries. He also worked in the IMF’s European and Research Departments and taught macroeconomics at the University of Leuven. He received his doctorate in economics from Harvard University. His current research interests include sovereign debt management issues and fiscal adjustment in countries with high sovereign debt.
