Michael Huberman

Michael Huberman teaches at the Université de Montréal, Department of History, where he holds the McConnell Chair in American Studies. He is a Research Fellow at CIREQ and CIRANO. He was a Fulbright Fellow at UCLA in 2007. His article with Christopher Minns, The Times They Are Not Changin’: Days and Hours of Work in Old and New Worlds, 1870-2000, Explorations in Economic History 44 (October 2007): 538-67, won the Explorations Prize. An article with Christopher Meissner, Riding the Wave of Trade: The Rise of Labor Regulation in the Golden Age of Globalization. Journal of Economic History 70 (September 2010): 535-67, won the Arthur H. Cole Prize. His latest book is Odd Couple: International Trade and Labor Standards in History (New Haven: Yale University Press, 2012).
