Nicole Smith

Nicole Smith recently completed her Ph.D. in economics at American University, Washington D.C. She is a Research Professor at the Center on Education and the Workforce at Georgetown University, Washington D.C. Shehas spent a large part of her career in academia with teaching appointmentsin the Economics Departments of Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania, and the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine Campus. Her current research interests include institutional mechanisms that allow intergenerational transmission of economic status and the economics of education.
