Paolo Bisio

Principal Banks Expert at European Banking Authority

Paolo Bisio is currently a Principal Banks Expert at the European Banking Authority (EBA). He previously served in the Secretariat of the Committee of the European Banking Supervisors and as an Analyst in the Banking Supervision Department of Banca d’Italia, the Italian central bank. He has been deeply involved in the supervisory review process of largest Italian banking groups, validation of internal models, Pillar 2 topics and stress test. In 2010, he coordinated the CEBS task forces on market and credit risks that developed the methodology for the EU-wide stress tests and played a pivotal role in the different editions of the exercises. He holds a Master degree in Economics from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” (Italy).
