Rana is a Senior Researcher in the Research Hub at the Bank of England, where she has worked since 2015. Prior to that she completed her Ph.D. at the European University Institute. Rana's research interests are primarily in theoretical aspects of macroeconomic policy and structural change. Her recent research has focused on the macroeconomic implications of demographic change, the global decline in long-run interest rates, and the impact of international trade on macroeconomic dynamics.
