Tao Zha is Executive Director of the Center for Quantitative Economic Research at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and Samuel Candler Dobbs Professor of Economics at Emory University and he is a Research Associate at National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) under the monetary economics program and the economic fluctuations and growth program. Professor Zha’s major fields of study are macroeconomics, financial economics, the Chinese economy, and econometrics. He has published numerous articles in leading academic journals such as Econometrica, American Economic Review, NBER Macroeconomics Annual, Brooking Papers for Economic Activity, Journal of Political Economy, and Review of Economic Studies. He has served on the editorial boards of academic journals, including Econometrica, Journal of Econometrics, and American Economic Journal:Macroeconomics. He received his doctorate in economics from the University of Minnesota in 1992 and earned his master's degree in economics from Washington State University in 1988. He received a master's degree in statistics from the Southwestern University of Economics and Finance and earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the Chengdu University of Technology and Sciences in 1982.
