Tatyana Avilova

Assistant Professor of Economics at Bowdoin College

Tatyana Avilova is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Bowdoin College. She was previously a Research Associate at the Institute of Social Science at the University of Tokyo. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University. Her research fields are health economics and economic education. Her work has focused on the impact of price changes on prescription drug use; opioid prescribing and the opioid epidemic in the United States; the work-life balance of health care workers, and the impact of curriculum reform and other institutional initiatives on diversity in economics.
