Principal Economic Adviser, Infrastructure and Environment Department at Inter-american Development Bank

Tomás Serebrisky is the Principal Economic Adviser of the Infrastructure and Environment Department of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the IDB, Tomás was Chief Economist of the Antitrust Commission in Argentina, Visiting Professor at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (2000-2002) and a Senior Economist in the World Bank (2002 to 2012) where he led the preparation and supervision of investment projects in several infrastructure sectors. His areas of expertise are the economics of infrastructure investment, public private partnerships, logistics, economic regulation and antitrust. Tomás holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Economics (summa cum laude) from Universidad de San Andres in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
