Why business is becoming less dynamic
A key factor in the observed decline in business dynamism in the US is the lack of knowledge diffusion from leader firms to follower firms. New technologies need to be diffused as widely as possible in order for the economy to benefit. Ufuk Akcigit, University of Chicago, explains that the focus needs to be on the secondary market and on antitrust policies.
