Don Kenkel is Andrew Dickson White Professor in the Department of Economics, Jeb E. Brooks School of Public Policy at Cornell University and an NBER Research Associate. Most of his research is on the economics of disease prevention and health promotion. He has conducted a series of studies on the roles taxes and advertising play in consumer decisions to smoke. His current research mainly focuses on the economics of tobacco harm reduction. He also has a long-standing research and teaching interest in benefit-cost analysis of regulations and deregulations.
